Castleton win extended repairs contract with Places for People

This blog post relates to Castleton, one of our previous brands. For more information please read the press release.

Places for People, is one of the largest property and leisure management, development and regeneration companies in the UK with over 180,000 properties under ownership or management.

Places for People began the implementation of Castleton’s Maintain solution (formerly impactRESPONSE), in 2013. The solution is now utilised by nearly 200 back office staff, 60 customer service representatives (at any one time) and just under 500 Property Services operatives across the UK, undertaking property repairs and maintenance activities. The operatives look after Places for People’s 60,000 affordable homes, providing a responsive repairs service and cyclical works, including gas servicing and electrical testing.

Castleton is delighted to announce that Places for People have extended their contract of Castleton Maintain for another 2.5 years, with the option to extend for a further 12 months. The contract’s scope includes repairs management software, technical services, cloud services and integration middleware that enables Places for People to process orders for work directly from third-party property management systems.

Places for People chose to continue with Castleton because the Maintain solution meets their functional business requirements and provides a resilient, quality service that is essential due to the mission-critical nature of the software for their property maintenance operation and its customers.

The ongoing partnership is a testament to the Maintain solution that has evolved alongside the demands of Places for People over the past 4 years and continues to support their business objectives by providing the functionality and reliability they require.

Ian Stewart, Commercial Sales Manager, Castleton, commented:
“We are truly pleased that Places for People wish to extend their relationship with Castleton Technology. The new contract means that, as Castleton develops its strategy and business for the social housing and contractor market over the next few years, we are perfectly placed to provide Places for People with even greater value from their relationship with our company”.

Steve Mather, Property Services Director, Places for People:
“Our operation continues to grow as we take on delivery of an increased range of services both for companies within the Places for People Group and external clients. This requires resilient and high quality systems that can meet the needs of our business both now and in the future. Our strategic partnering arrangement with Castleton is key to the successful expansion of our operation and the continued delivery of services to our customers”.
